Spray foam insulation in West Palm Beach

Roof decks and bonus rooms. Not a quiet substitute for blown-in on a vented attic floor.

When foam is the job

A bonus room, a Florida room under a hot roof, a cathedral bay, an addition in El Cid or on Palm Beach where the old deck became the ceiling. Those want foam on the roof deck so the room sits inside the house.

A vented attic over a flat ceiling in Ibis, Wellington, or a Forest Hill ranch wants blown-in insulation to R-38. Foam there is the wrong product. Shop: 4263 NW 1st Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33431.

What we will tell you first

  • The smell

Foam cures. The house should be empty of anyone sensitive while it does. Blown-in does not have that smell.

  • The price

Foam is not the planner range. Masking, thickness, and access set the number after we see the roof.

  • The mix

Foam the closed roof. Blow the vented floor. Say which rooms are which before we schedule.

Foam questions

Is spray foam the right job for a West Palm Beach house?

Usually no, if the attic stays vented. Blown-in on the floor is the bill-cutting job for most West Palm houses. Spray foam belongs on the roof deck when a bonus room or a hot roof should sit inside the conditioned house.

Will spray foam make the house smell?

Yes, while it cures. Blown-in fiberglass and cellulose do not have that cure smell. We ventilate foam jobs and we do not schedule them like a blown-in day. If anyone in the house is sensitive, say so before we book it.

Can you foam part of the roof and blow the rest?

Yes. A bonus room or a closed-in Florida room can be foamed while the vented attic floor gets blown to R-38. They are different prices. We do not hide one inside the other.

Do Palm Beach and Jupiter houses need foam more often?

More of those roofs were built with part of the lid inside the room, so foam comes up more often than it does in Greenacres or Royal Palm Beach. A vented attic there is still a blown-in job. We look first.

Tell us if the attic is vented. We'll name the job.

Call, or send the planner. A photo of the hatch helps.
